Hi! I've been an RN for 26 yrs. I LOVE caring for others and all that comes with being a nurse. I'm not necessarily looking for high-tech, intensive nursing right now. I'm more interested in getting out of the house to be of use to someone who needs some assistance at home or out in the community. Our 3 sons are grown and out on their own now. I've been home for a couple years, caring for my husband who is a traumatic brain injury survivor, so if you need help, I'll RUN out the door. I have a great sense of humor, am joyful and have a deep sense of faith. I'm loyal, compassionate, detail-oriented, punctual, honest and hard-working. I love pets, crafting in my free time and New England Patriots fan! I love to organize and then reorganize as a hobby. I'm a nursing student just wanting to help others in everyday needs. With my school schedule working at the hospitals was becoming harder. I need to be able to work around my school schedule. I love being able to help others in all ways I can even if that is just being there to listen or talk to. I have been caring for seniors for the past 7 years. I have a bachelor's degree from Ohio University with a certificate in gerontology. From being a care aide to an activity director, I have a great passion for helping older adults in any way I can and building relationships with them. I am due to have my first baby in September, and am looking to care for someone in their home starting in the winter (December or January) between 20-30 hours a week. Hello all :) My name is Sado Abdi. I will be turning 18 in 3 weeks here (June 2nd) for everyone worried about legal age. I currently live in Hilliard., OH but I'm originally born and raised in Atlanta, Gorgiea. I will be attending The Ohio State University fall of 2019, with a major in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Business. My personality traits are openness, fearless, trusting, humorous, easy-going, observant, optimistic, helpful, and the list could go on! I'm interested in being a caregiver because I really love helping people and my community. I want to be able to gain and learn something from this whole experience especially my patient. I am certified in CPR, BLS, and CRP.

Recently graduated with honors from CSCC's fast track accelerated LPN program. I've received my CNA & PCA from CSCC, AAS degree from OSU, and I am CPR certified. During high school, I was trained and worked as a student athletic trainer. My experience caring for seniors includes: working as a care companion for a quadriplegic patient through care. com, numerous amounts of clinical hours preformed at nursing homes, hospitals, Franklin county prison's medical center, and at live-in rehabilitation centers, on the skilled rehab floor. Patients cared for on this floor consisted of those recovering from injuries due to falls, strokes, MI's, pneumonia, or surgeries for various reasons. My experience consists of bathing, dressing, feeding, and ambulating patients. Passing meds, starting IVs, giving insulin and TB injections, inserting catheters, bowel prep including dispensing enemas, wound care and dressing changes, taking vitals and assessing patients.

I am very Passionate caring person, ever since I was little girl. Instead of playing with neighborhood kids I would help my elderly neighbors. I loved sitting on their porch just talking for hours. They use to tell me & my mom that I had an old soul. My mom also was a caregiver then she got degrees in other medical fields, you could say I got and learned from her. I first got into home health care because of My father in law. I was 21 years old. He had MS, & his family denied caring for him. I noticed how bad he was getting so I started caring for him immediately. The care he needed acquired more time so me and my 3 babies (at the time) moved in and I cared for him around the clock. He had some pretty bad wounds that tunneled down to the bone on multiple parts of his body. Which is why I got certified at the osu wound clinic. Everyone around me and even the nurses that came over told me i had a special calling for this job. It was what I was meant to do! It takes a special person to really love & care for others. There are so many reasons why I love being a caregiver. It's more than the satisfaction that I am helping others. It's that they also teach me about life and what we take for granted. Without them saying a word. I feel so refreshed after a shift it doesn't feel like "just a job" to me. With Each & every client I get it seems like there is a story and I feel like I am apart of their story by getting to help them. I truly love what I do!
