Hello! My name is Belinda and I am very friendly, compassionate and engaging. I work very hard and enjoy helping others. I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant for over 30 years. Part of that time I was a Medical Assistant. I became a caregiver originally to help family members, and found that I enjoyed it so much that I made it my career. I am most proud of the fact that I make lives better and increase the social life of my clients.

I love to take care people specially with older adults. I worked as a CNA at Providence Mount Saint Vincent for four years with no complaints but recognition for being a good caregiver. In addition, I am US Army Reserve since in 2008 as Patient Admin Specialist; As a drilling member, one of my duty is to attend my drill weekend every month and do the right thing wherever I go and whatever I do. Later, I transferred to Individual Ready Reserve in April 2015 to focus on my nursing school. My dream becoming a registered nurse (RN) was full filled in March 2016. What makes you a great caregiver? I genuinely care about other people regardless differences and challenging characteristics; I don’t judge people and give them their privacy as well as take care of them with the best care and to their liking and comfort needs. I make sure things are done right and don’t take shortcuts, I’m honest, loyal, and compassionate towards other people. Why did you become a caregiver? I became a caregiver because I realized I listened to peoples needs and wanted to help improve the quality of their lives. I’m good at taking orders and encouraging people to do their best, to bring the best in them out. What do you like about being a caregiver? I enjoy when someone is content with the quality care I provide them. I enjoy taking people’s health into my hands and being successful, by keeping them at their optimal health. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? I am proud to have become a well-informed healthcare professional that knows how to care for any individual with any kind of condition due to all my experience and skills obtained from training.

I am a Navy Veteran. I received the Purple Heart for my efforts in Afghanistan. I've also received multiple Navy medals and achievements while serving in Iraq, Kuwait and here in the states. I have learned to be patient, compassionate, thorough, very dependable, trustworthy, honest and attentive. I am a wife and a mother of two beautiful daughters. Zoey is twelve and Makenna is ten. My husband is still in the Navy. He is a Submarine IDC (Independent Duty Corpsman) and he makes me proud everyday. I love my family and me working as a caregiver makes them proud as much as it makes me proud. I love being able to say I help people for a living.

I am currently a nursing student who's is very passionate about helping others and making them feel great and lively. I have been a CNA for 2 years in Iowa and have surely enjoyed my job of caring and loving the elderly.
