I have 5 years experience working with the senior citizens population. I first took interest in memory care. It's so many things to learn about dementia and we are all still discovering new things. I've always had a passion to help/care for others from a very young age. I'm currently C.B.R.F certified. I have My First Aid/Fire Saftey, Standard Procedure & Precautions, Medication Administration, CPR/AED, & I'm a Certified Phlebotomy Technician. I became a caregiver as a young child. Helping my cousin, Brian, who had Downs Syndrome, overcome fears and succeed made me deeply happy. I worked my way through college as a live-in caregiver, and relived the joy I had as a young girl helping Brian love life. If I had to give one reason that sets me apart as a caregiver, it is this -- love making others feel safe, content, happy, and challenged. By that, I mean motivated to overcome problems and feel hopeful once again.
