My personal traits are being Consistent , and helping others , What attracted me to being a care giver is my family members with disability needs , since a kid I've always had to be apart of helping someone /sick family members with there needs , I enjoy the fact that it's helping someone making sure they are okay and healthy . I am a Certified Phlebotomist I enjoy helping others , making sure that they get the care that is needed .

I'm 19. I have some experience with Seniors. My grandmother passed away Easter of 2017. I helped care for her, stayed with her, and was with her her final days on hospice.

I have known since I was young what i wanted to do in life. I wanted to be a Mom, wife and I wanted to care for others. When I got my first job as a caregiver I knew I was right where I belonged. Its physically and mentally challenging on a loved one to always have to do everything and especially if their not trained or knowledgeable about what they need to do. Its honestly a full time job. That's where my help comes in. At the end of The day the stories I get to hear and the knowledge they share with me is priceless. These are people that have lived life and were once probably caring for someone else so now it's my turn to take care of them. I wanna show them they are still important and deserve to be cared for . I take care of each person with the joy and love as I did my very 1st client .. It still brings me so much happiness and just humbles me. I'm patient, I'm compassionate and very understanding. Most importantly I listen and talk with them. If they cant I will play music or read to them. I will bath them and change them if they are incontinent. My time with them Is just that. They have my full attention. It can be challenging and hard to trust someone with your loved ones. I vow to care for them professionally and compassionately.

What attracted me to being a caregiver was my drive to always want to help and be there for someone the best way I can be I enjoy my residents the most and getting to know them and all the accomplishments they made throughout their life.

I'm very outgoing and patient to my companion needs and listen to them My sister died at age 21 and she had cerebral palsy and epilepsy, I watched my mom take care of her as well helping my mom take care of her and it was her (Brandi)is the reason o love taking care old and young.I get great joy of helping people be happy.

I am 20 years old, and I wanted to become a caregiver because I thoroughly enjoy helping people in need. I plan to become a Registered Nurse so I can further my career in care giving. I am patient when it comes to taking care of the elderly, I am highly respectful of them and let them set the pace when there is a certain everyday living activity we are accomplishing; I do my best to encourage them and let them make decisions about their care so they can stay as independent as possible, and it is my personal goal each day to walk in with a smile on my face to ensure that my patient and their families know I am more than happy to help them in any way that I can. I am also very understanding when it comes to families worrying about certain things with their lived one(s) and do my best to assure them that I will always keep my patient's best interest at heart. I do my best to comfort families during the grieving process when their loved one(s) pass away by praying for them and telling them they will be in my prayers, and that God will be with them through the difficult time.

I am currently a full time student at Alabama State University. I graduate May 2020 and plan on going back to school to obtain a doctorate degree in physical therpy. During my down time I like shopping, reading, and traveling.
