Hello my name is Ashley. I have lived out in the country my whole life. I grew up helping my parents at Comitis Crisis Center. I have always been heavily involved in helping the less fortunate in the community. When I grew up I knew I wanted to continue helping people through healthcare. I am patient, caring and compassionate. I have always enjoyed my rotations in nursing homes and rehab facilities. I enjoy helping my patients thrive in their environment. My goal is to help keep my patients as independent as possible. I have helped a variety of patients ranging from disabled patients, cancer patients, rehab patients, and end of life care. My personal achievement I am proud of is completing my Practical Nursing Degree. I am continuing my education to become a Registered Nurse.

I'm a caregiver and healer by nature! I love to bake, read, take walks/hike, and play games. I'm a habitual student--I love to learn! My medical background gives me an excellent knowledge base (medical assistant & occupational therapy assistant), but my experience and genuine compassion are my biggest assets. I have worked with a wide variety of ages with an equally wide variety of physical/social/mental health needs, including special needs children as a school health aid, OTA at a skilled nursing/long term acute care hospital, medical assistant, co-led a divorce care group at my church, internship at Arapaho Co. Mental Health, and provided my grandmother (advanced Alzheimer's Disease & stroke) with a loving and caring home for 5 years. I have also been by my mom's side during her breast cancer treatment (never missed a chemo!). Please note that my services do not include occupational therapy treatment/services, but having this education and experience is immensely helpful in helping your loved one stay safe while in my care. I understand how difficult finding a reliable, competent, and compassionate caregiver can be, and I know the struggles and stresses of caring for a family member! But the reward of knowing that I made an impact in someone's life is my greatest reward. I think what most makes me an excellent caregiver is my patience and passion for good care, the people closest to me say I'm a little too empathetic sometimes even though I can come off as blunt at first impression. What attracted me to being a caregiver was wanting to make sure I was able to take care of the people I love some day. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the bonds I get to make and the incredible people I meet. One of my biggest personal achievements I'm most proud of is my family, the kids I raised and the support system I have built around myself.

I am a certified nurses assistant with 20yrs of experience with home health care, skilled nursing to include Alzheimers Wing/Hospice and Palliative care. I work full time with Cochlear Americas as a billing specialist. I miss patient care and would love to be able to help out someone in need around my residence.

I have compassion for everyone, I show it by being reliable, having accountability, fulfilling all duties using my time management skills. I respect patients privacy, and I'm very forgiving while always keep a positive demeanor/tone of voice. I started as a caregiver because it's rewarding, and I enjoy providing support for those who need it the most. My proudest achievement to date is getting a 98% on my QMAP test.
