I always try to go above and beyond to make sure the client is comfortable in their own surroundings. I like to plan a day that is enjoyable to client. I have been a caregiver since 2000, I love what I do, my first client was a women who had seizures - the doctor said she may live another 6/7 months, I cared for her like she was my daughter. My daughter who was at 7 at the time had a playmate, my husband would take her to McDonalds and Dairy Queen - both her favorite places - she live for 5 years - we gave her a wonderful life - she also enlightened our lives.

I chose to become a CNA because I love to assist people and make their lives easier. I cared for my grandmother before she passed and I think that is what started my path of nursing. I have worked in a Assisted Living Facility and choose not to go back because I couldn't give the care I wanted to give due to the rush of schedule and numerous patients.
