I am now pursuing my Nursing degree so that one day I may become a medical missionary. My husband and I just moved to New Mexico to slow down and work hard toward our future. I decided to become a caregiver because my grandfather was diagnosed with Parkinson's and Alzheimer's a few years back but with much help from caregivers he was able to live out his last years in his home with my grandmother at his side. I have worked with geriatric, bariatric, dementia, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's patients. I have mostly worked in rehab and long term facilities but doing so has taught me many skills. It feels highly rewarding knowing you're changing the life of those in need of assistance. My passion for this started after the passing of my dad, I wished I could've done more to help him in the stages he needed to gain in-dependability to get better. Later my grandpa was admitted into hospice care and I had the chance to care for him everyday. After, it sparked the idea to get back to school and follow a path I was really passionate about. I began to go to school for nursing assistance. I then accepted a training position where I had 100+ hours of training. Caring for the elderly gives you a lot of great perspective. While working with this demographic, you begin to really value your time with them. The mutual respect that you can develop with the aging population is truly special.

I am very caring and compassionate to all people. I have worked with children in schools, some of whom were either handicapped or medically fragile. I love to help and serve others. I enjoy exercise and to assist others with exercise as well.
