I am a 37year old CNA and mother of three,I became a caregiver because I love helping others and caring for those who can't perform or need assistance with their daily activities. When I was a young girl my mother was diagnosed with MS and my siblings and I were responsible for helping her with her daily activities and from that moment forward I knew that was my calling. In the past I have taken care of several loved ones and others until they're last moment here and thats what I feel like I am here to do, its my passion. I love being able to make a difference in someone else's life and make them happy.

I became a caregiver to help people feel more independent while in there own home .I love being a caregiver because the look on clients face when you make them feel independent is priceless. I am proud that everyone I come across loves the great work I do I am a parent to a son with autism so I know patience and helping makes a difference the medical field has always been my calling.

I have been a CNA for 20 years. I enjoy helping and working with our Seniors because they have taught me a lot over the years. I have experience working in homes, nursing homes, hospitals and I also have 5 years experience working for Hospice. I am Certified in CPR and First Aid. I am patience, dependable, neat and clean. I love to cook also. I am a non smoker, non drinker, I have a good driving record and I have a excellent background. I have experience working with Alzheimer's, Dementia, stroke, cancer patients, brain injuries, Parkinson, diabetes, ALS, patients with feeding tubes, Foley Catheters,, Tracheas, and vents. I am a very kind, patient caregiver. I am honest, trustworthy and dependable. I promise to care for your loved one as if she/he was one of mine.

I'm smart ,attentive, caring. I have a great sense of humor. I am a great companion! I became a caregiver out of necessity for my father and fell in love with it. I enjoy helping and encouraging someone who thinks less of themselves for just needing help.

What make me a great care giver is the love and care I have for my patient. I love to bond with them so that I know exactly how they like everything so that I can meet their needs. I really enjoy being a caregiver a job that your able to make a difference in a clients everyday living. a relationship you just cant explain with your client or patient depends on level of care. I became a can in 1991 lookin for a different career path then . worked in nursing rehabilitation home for 3 years learned so much . I did work in for agencies for in home visits as well for the next 7 years. I continued my education in Georgia to become a cma certified medical assistant. I have recently taken a can course at Cumberland health center . recertified can cpr/ first aid .

I have worked in the health field for most of my adult life. I worked with seniors and I love it. I relate to them and they relate to me. My last job was a sales job, but most of our clientele were seniors. They are so interesting to me. They always have great stories to tell and most have done so many wonderful things in their lives. I think God put me in this world to care for seniors!

I am upbeat and very friendly! I'm very compassionate and patient. Some things I feel that makes me a great caregiver is my integrity, punctuality, reliability, and my ability to observe and learn my clients pretty quickly. What attracts me to being a caregiver in particularly is I am passionate about helping the elderly because I've witnessed the negligence that elder people endure. It's very heartbreaking to see, so being that one good caregiver who is able to give the care I wish to receive for myself and my loved ones, if ever needed, makes a difference for me. What I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is seeing the smiles and laughs on my clients faces, it makes me feel good and like I'm doing something right. A personal achievement I am very proud of is being a strong advocator for my clients who can't advocate for themselves. For example, I have a client who is cognitive impaired and is living in a nursing facility. On several occasions I've stopped nurses from giving her the wrong medications, amongst other things. I can honestly say I really love what I do, and I love and care for my clients like they are family!
