Hello my is Juliet uzoigwe, I am a mother of 4 kids living with my family. I so much making people around me both young and old to feel loved and belong. I love taking care of people around me all the time.

My best traits as a caregiver is being patience,compassion, attentive, dependable, reliable, flexible, trustworthy. I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one on one interaction with others. I also like doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. The thing I like the most being a caregiver is making someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better. My personal achievement is being able to pursue interesting, high quality work that has a positive impact. Securing awards, promotions and other acknowledgements of achievement. Maintaining a happy and healthy family life as well as career. And handling challenge, complexity and change.

I enjoy working with people and I most enjoy jobs where I have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of my elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I like older adults and feel I can get along well with a variety of elders. I like doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. I like doing a variety of tasks in a day. I don't ever say, "That's not my job" but instead like pitching in to do whatever is needed. I like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better. I take pride in attending to detail.

Empathy and compassion are my core values. I always want to help, and I'm very patience especially when providing care. I enjoy doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. I'm proud to have inspired hope in many whom I have assisted.

The reason I become a caregiver because I enjoy taking care of the elderly, sick, and handicapped. I enjoy making sure client are safe, healthy, and comfortable and will treat my clients and family members with respect. I started home health aide in 2000 and I have excellent letters of recommendation from clients and my past work history. I am dependable, honest, work well under pressure, I enjoy doing activities with my clients, and playing educational games. I have been during home health aide for over thirteen years and currently working with my current client. I am certified in American Heart Association, Licensed in under the DC Board of Nursing in Home Health Aide and also have a certificate in activities assistant. 20+ years of caring for Hospice patients, Alzheimer's patients, Dementia patients, mental health patients, Autism patients, Diabetes patients, blind patients, incontinent patients, total care clients, seniors, clients that are immobile, etc. I have a passion for seniors that want to age in place and my ministry is that of a caregiver. I am a licensed home health aide, CPR certified, First Aide/AED certified. I have a Masters Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor Degree in Administration and Management. I am a licensed minister.

I have always been more mature for my age. I grew up as an only child, only hanging around adults. I have always had a caring personality and when I was 18 after I graduated high school I started working as a CNA at an adult day care, caring for geriatrics with dementia. I fell in love with them. They may not be able to remember your name or their own name but they can tell you stories about their childhood that bring warmth to your heart. I am very good at caring for geriatrics, making them feel comfortable in embarrassing situations for them (bathing, changing soiled linen) because they still deserve dignity and respect which I make sure they know they have the upmost respect. Some geriatric patients have a hard time with caregiving because they have literally give up every ounce of independence they used to have which is hard to cope with. My personality is very smiley and happy around geriatrics which makes them feel better. I also have a very loud voice which is an advantage with geriatrics since most are hard of hearing, they can hear me because I tend to speak loudly. I am an RN however I love being a caregiver too. I am very good at caring for people, making them feel comfortable, I am very easy to talk to and educating on medical information also.

Caregiving is what I live for and has been my job for as long as I can remember. Whether providing a helping hand and services to relatives or neighbors, the appreciation for companionship means the world to me because the responsibility is shared amongst the caregiver and patient for personal achievement and growth!
