I been working in the home health care field well over 10 years now. I'm very supportive and caring. I've been fortunate to work with some great families in the Ann Arbor communities and beyond. I love being able to put smiles on others faces and just being there to lend a helping hand at times for others in need. I'm extremely dependable, compassionate,and nurturing. I've worked several cases and experienced a lot of different challenges.I like working in this field because it's what I have the passion to do.I enjoy caring and helping out when help is needed.I'm also a self-motivated caring person that's trustworthy and loyal.

I am a healthcare professional with 25+ years experience working in geriatric, memory care, dementia and Alzheimer's patients. I work in hospice care, palliative medicine, end of life care. I am a patient, compassionate, good listener, kind, caring caregiver. I do skilled nursing, wound care, first aid, post surgery care for transitioning patients to homecare. My start in healthcare was volunteering at the Red Cross, church and community outreach , I have worked eight years at the Washtenaw County DHS with CLS/CMH organizations as consumer advocate . I have worked long years managing assisted living facilities, nursing homes, directing memory care units, training, teaching and mentoring. I have earned Bachelor's of Science from EMU and Surgical Technology program from WCC. I am passionate about helping people to better their lives and improve their health.

I choose to be in this Field for many reasons, the Major one is because I have the heart and patients to take care of someone who is struggling. It makes me feel happy when I know there taken care of and still feel valuable to life. I love talking, I'll play cards or watch movies or go out and do activities with my patients. I'll treat them with care and love as if they were a family member of my own. Over the past 6 years I have gained a lot of knowledge working in the medical field so I do come with alot of experiences !

l 've been a caregiver since (1983) when I was trained and certifiied as s a direct care staff for the profoundly mentally handicap for 5 years, than transitioned over to caring for the elderly, recently I just loss a client of over 6yrs. who was 98 years old. I also cared for her daughter who preceeded her in death due to lung cancer. I get along well with dogs (cats are negotiable) but, prefer a non-smoking home as I am a non smoker. I've been gainfully employed (by someone who found me on a similar website) for more than a year. Available for up to 12 hrs/day Mon-Fri, every other weekend. I am fully vaccinated, I can provide proof of residency/citizenship, complete work history, current professional/personal references. I have access to a good running, fully insured vehicle or I can drive yours. I have a good driving record. I will pass an IChat, DHS & CNA background check.
