Greetings, I've discovered that regardless of someones health condition or disability everyone deserves to have a good quality life and to be happy, thats way I became a "Compassionate Caregiver" it is so important to provide compassionate care to thoughes that need caring for. One of my good friends was in a car accident that left him as a Quadriplegic, now being such a young man, he became very depress with life and I had a problem with that so I decided to learn how to care for him and I did just that. I started by being Trained by the Healthcare facility free of charge were he lived. I started class room and hands on training for eight weeks and I had taken a CPR course. I did this so my friend could have a quality life. I also taken a course on how to transfer Quadriplegic patients so that I could transfer him the correct way from his wheel chair to my car and from the car to his wheelchair and back into the facility were he was living, that alowed us to go places, Dr appointments and places he liked going to. Then he stoprd looking at his self deficiencies but instead, he started loving life once again and loving people and we made the best of things. So he begin enjoying are times together once again just like old times and thats how I became a Home Healthcare Provider.

I am very passionate about care giving. I began taking care of my wheel chair bound grandfather when I was 12 until he passed away in 2015. I have been caring for the elderly ever since. I have over 20 years caregiving experience. 16 years of memory care experience and 14 years of home health experience. I am CNA as well as BLS certified.

My personality traits that I'm naturally a caring person and have compassion for others. I love to help others. What attract me in been a caregiver is my mother who is a retired nurse for over 20 yrs and my grandmother who always helping people in need at her age of 91 she still does her part in the community. In 2010 my grandfather pass away of myeloma I was his caregiver. All this and more attracted me to become a caregiver. I enjoy most about been a caregiver is an opportunity to show love, respect, and dignity to those in need. It is a deeply fulfilling experience that allows me to learn more about myself and grow as an individual. Caring for someone is a powerful and intimate relationship that can bring about a strong connection and bond. When caring for someone, it is important to show love, trust, and understanding. I consider myself blessed to have a connection with the elderly. When I was a 14 yrs old had the most amazing bond with the 93 year old mother of our church and I will never forget her. I personally feel responsible for the helpless ; I didn't know I needed a reason why. However, I have realized it's not for everyone. I take pride in the connection and the ability to bond with a person in need of understanding and compassion. I now consider it a gift and I am humbly grateful.

I've been a certified caregiver since 2013. I decided to pursue a career in this field due to the fact that I cared for my grandfather. I'm passionate about what I do. I've been a caregiver since 1986. I've currently relocated from anchorage alaska in July 2014.I was at my past employer for twenty-three years.I worked in a dementia/al unit.I love my job completely I enjoy the smiles an awards that are on their faces at the end of the day.I became a caregiver when my grandma died of breast cancer when I was eight.She told me I had a gift an I needed to stick with it.
