Hello I'm Chelsae I started my caregiver career 4 years ago for my grandmother with Brain cancer , I hired in and worked side by side everyday with the caregivers from Care Linx. I have experience with lifting the patient with a gate belt and Hoyer lift. I have work with physical therapy , small fine motors with clay and play dough . And sight seeing with puzzles and matching games . I have been told by previous clients that I am a great cook ! I can also help assist with in-continents, and can provide a professional and efficient environment for this uncomfortable situation. I also have experience with catheters , cleaning and bag changes as well as a Pure-wick. I am very tidy and organized. I am also very friendly and love to take"field trips" ! I have always loved helping and taking care of people as a child. I realized it was a talent I had when I grew up and I have loved it ! I enjoy putting smiles on people's faces from the help I give them. As a caregiver, I've learned to love and beloved by my patients. They teach me new things each day. I believe what helps me be a great caregiver is that I treat each person as if they were apart of my own family, I have a very warm and welcoming heart. My grandmother was my heart and soul I got into the healthcare industry because of her she became ill diabetic I lost her in 2007 but hasn't been the same without her I get my passionate love for my clients from her I'm always the one trying to find new things to learn and to help people I have a big heart I love hearing stories of couples been together for 60 years Love hearing war stories etc. I enjoy knowing that my clients are safe and loved I am all about respect I've learned a lot over the years a lot of people don't have no one and someone like myself may be the only visitor that they might get I take pride in what I do and I love it I am very proud of who I am today comes pure genuine love for what I do I take a vantage of life as much as I can I love my family I love to travel it's never too late to learn new things

I have been in the healthcare field for over 5 years now. I am passionate about what I do, I feel that it is my calling. I am proficient in many skills such as home care, long term care, assisted living, etc. Through the University of Michigan - Dearborn, I have my certification in health communication as well. I am patient, kind, and genuinely compassionate to all my care recipients. I enjoy the conversation and rewarding feeling that comes with caring for others. I am a proud alumni of the University of Michigan - Dearborn with a Bachelor's of Science in Health and Human Services - Public Health. This is a personal achievement that I am truly proud of.

I enjoy working with people. I treat people with the respect and love they deserve. For my graduate degree I majored in Social Work and Gerontology because I wanted to learn how to serve people better.. In order to paid for my education I worked as a care giver. I loved caring for people and learned so much from the monthly training conducted by professionals in the health care field. When I did my first internships at a center for seniors. I had such a great time working with members of the elderly population that I decided to continue working in that area. I mostly enjoy caring for others, giving back to those who served others in many ways during their younger years or when they were physically capable to do so. Its my way of giving back to the community. I get a great sense of satisfaction when I help someone recover, achieve the best in live possible with the physical and/or mental limitations they gave. And from hearing how thankful the patients and relatives are for the level of service I have provided.

I am fully vaccinated, and have my booster. I haven't been able to submit an image of my vaccination card to the site, but if you are interested in hiring me, I can send the image through communications (texts, email, etc.). I like to make my patients laugh, regardless of what the task is, whether I am helping them clean up an accident, or helping them get dressed, it can be a fun experience for both of us. I have received personal letters saying thank you for being so kind and patiently caring, from families and patients themselves. I am skilled at what I do. I do things thoroughly. I am stronger than I look, I can easily transfer people larger and taller than me. I know when to lower someone to the ground during transfers to prevent them from falling and hurting themselves. I know how to determine normal vital signs, and blood sugar levels. I have worked in nursing facilities, and respond well in emergency situations. I do have a cat allergy.

I was born in a caregiver role as a child. I took care of my siblings when I was much younger. When I was in middle school my grandmother had an operation on her back and I took care of her until she was able to take care of herself. I was in school and I wanted to take care of the elderly. So I took a C.N.A. course and I worked at the School of Nursing. I worked with an elderly woman privately and I enjoyed watching movies with her. She loved Forrest Gump. I like the assignment that I have. I got her walking when they said she couldn't walk, I got her up from being bed bound twice. I had to help her. First we crawled, then she stood up, balance was our next step, and then a few steps here, and then full walking transfers! They said she is a walking miracle. I am proud of myself that I was able to follow doctors orders, nurse orders, P.T. and O.T. exercises.

What makes me a good caregiver is that I am caring, compassionate, honest, dependable. I have always had a passion for taking care of people. I enjoy seeing people happy and healthy. I am proud that I assisted one of my clients with achieving her health goal of getting off insulin. I have been doing homecare for over 15 years. I also have four years experience in a manager position. I also have hoyer lift and end of life experience.
