Family is most important to me and I understand how important it is to have a caring, loving person taking care of loved ones. I have cared for family members on a long term basis. One had a heart attack then a stroke and needed complete care for over 3 years. Another has cancer and needed care for over a year. I always approach my responsibilities with care and compassion, remembering to treat other as I would like to be treated.

Care giving has been a part of me for a very long time, from bringing crackers and 7up to my brother when he was sick, caring for my grandparents while in the nursing home. I was raised around some amazing women who have shown me that no matter what in any situation I will always be there for someone in need. Have seen the good and bad in working and visiting facilities. When someone is working just for a paycheck that person is most certainly in the wrong career for healthcare. Yes a paycheck is good there is too much compassion in me to be that way, I get way to attached to my people cannot help that. Our elders deserve to be treated with the upmost respect. I have sat with a client at an assisted living facility for 13 hours, working a double 2pm to 6 am the next morning, 13 of the 16 was talking, singing just being there for that resident made care giving that much more special. What I enjoy the most bringing smiles to each and every person I meet, young or old. If I only see one smile than I know have done a good days work. The most personal achievement I am proud of are my children, without then life would not exist they are my heartbeat and if anything were to happen to either of my children I would lose my absolute mind. I am now becoming an independent contractor with my own business Soul Sisters Hometown Care. I will be mainly private care have wanted to start this for quite some time now so better time as any. I along with my business partner Julie Turner will want to take on clients under this business name.

I have a uplifting and bright personality, I am a caring, supportive, strong person. Since my senior year of high school I knew that I wanted to be in the health field providing care to those in need of an extra lift due to sickness. My most enjoyable thing about being a caregiver is making helping others and being able to provide care for others.

I worked at a CNA since I was 16 years old. I have been around the medical field. Caring for elderly and dementia patients for at least thirthere's. I have set as a volunteer with hospice friends. And for the present company that I work for. I'm a very dedicated employee that loves to take care of her patients and once they become my patients, I become very. I'm not saying I love what I'll do and I'm very good at it. How are the people interrupting me can happen and I love to move around especially once I don't have much family Overprotective and overprotective of them. I am very observant. I know how to be cautious and what I do I mean. Giving their medicines reminding them, helping them 1 day. Forget things helping them even to exercise. When I don't even have to PT. I become very hands-on with their family. So they can trust me and the client can trust me as well. I don't do this just for a paycheck. I do this because I love what I do and love giving back to people that need our help. I'm very compassionate and what I do.. Just reinsuring the family that they can count on me. And knowing that they can be at ease when they leave. Their loved ones with me is my reward I feel.

My personality traits about being a caregiver is the patience and compassion I have towards the person needing my care. Knowing someone that needs and depends on me for my help is what attracts me into becoming a caregiver. Also, the one-on-one interactions with each other. I enjoy building a bond with them and being a person they can talk to when they are having a bad day. My personal achievement is being reliable and caring.

Hi! First off, I admire the families that choose to hire someone to help their loved ones and not take the option of putting them in a nursing home. I have never been more content or more pleased then having a job as a caregiver. You're able to bring life back into the home, become apart of the family and commit yourself whole heartedly. I prefer to wear scrubs on the job. My job duties for the last 6 years as a caregiver w/ my most recent patient/s are as follows. . Cooking, cleaning, running errands such as groc shopping, driving them, pill mgmt and doctor appointments, I'm knowledgeable in Alz/ Dementia as well. As for the ladies I do gardening, decorating, manicure and pedicures as well as hair. I'm very organized and keep everyone on schedule. I'm a hard worker. I'm cpr/ first aid licensed and am also certified nursing assistant,I will take care of their bandages or any other wounds. I will go above and beyond for you and your family as if it's my own and I'm very good at keeping them company I have learned so much from bonding w/ the elderly. I love what I do. I won't let you down. I have commendable references also! Traveling is not an issue as long as it fits my schedule and it is the hourly wage is feasible. Well what makes me a caregiver I'd caring and taking care of all the client needs. What have I achieved gaining trust with my clients and making them comfortable and happy. I enjoy talking withy clients and learning new things and just being a shoulder to lean on. I proud of still being able to do what I live and I became a caregiver because it was second nature and my family did it so I decided to try and began to love it
