I am a friendly, outgoing person who has a big heart for seniors and enjoys helping them to live life to its fullest. What's most important to me are relationships and living a life of love for God and for one another. I especially enjoy my conversations with seniors-I love their stories. I like to help them get out in nature, enjoy a mind challenging game or cook their favorite meal. I'm available for transportation needs, shopping, meal planning, cooking , walks, light exercise, very,very light housekeeping, misc. and medication reminders.

Hi my name is Darci, I have been working in health care for the past 25+ years. I started out as a Medical Assistant working in an Urgent Care Center in my early 20's. Soon after I was offered a position as a private caregiver for a quadriplegic female and I absolutely loved it. To me there is no job more rewarding and fulfilling then care giving. I have worked as a private in home caregiver and (2010-2015) as a Lead Caregiver/Caregiver trainer in a local Alzheimer's facility. I am also a DONA trained Postpartum Doula with many years experience in caring for new mothers and babies. It is my purpose to give the highest quality care to the families I have the pleasure of working with.

I have been a caregiver since 2009. I have a great passion for taking care of others and have spent most of my working career doing so. I have extensive experience in almost every area providing care for this population. I have worked with a variety of Alzheimer's and dementia clients as well as Parkinson's, MS, Diabetes, severe respiratory issues, Huntington's disease , cancer and those on hospice all which include many different special needs. I have a degree in Psychology from CSUS that I earned in 1983. If there's something new I'm not familiar with, I'm more than willing to learn. I love to cook and most likely can make almost anything up on request. I'm always willing to do house cleaning and laundry. I take pride in my work and always go above and beyond what is expected of me. I enjoy conversing with those I provide care for, they always have such interesting memories and history. My mission is to always treat my clients with the compassion, respect and dignity they deserve. I also work at the San Juan Unified School District with Autistic preschool children which requires much energy, patience and understanding. I am also fully vaccinated. I am personable and enjoy being a home care provider. I became a caregiver because I wanted to help others by assisting them with their activities of daily living. I enjoyed caring for many seniors over the years and learned quite a lot from them. I believe I'm a great caregiver because I have had extensive training in a skilled nursing facility as well as in many private homes. I also enjoy seeing the difference that I often make in people's lives. I became a nursing assistant back in 1982 and acquired my Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license at the convalescent hospital where I worked. I then went on to work for several home care agencies and acquired my Certified Home HeaIth Aide (CHHA) license. I have worked as an independent contractor caregiver for years. I am willing to commute for full-time employment. I have great references and will be happy to submit them upon request.

I love being a caregiver and honoring my seniors, and giving service to those who need it. I'm genuine and, would treat your family member as if they were my family.
