Hi I have been working as a caregiver for many years. I started as a CNA and work for more than 10 years, I currently don't have a certification but I still have the Knowledge. I enjoy been around the elderly listen to their stories and learn from them.

That's make me a great Caregiver is because I'm a patient person, loving and caring. And I become a caregiver because I Felt like I'm taking care of my own parent or grand parents . I become a caregiver taking care of my father his last 3 years, to know better about his illness I read books, interview friends who work on that field ( dementia), after my fathers passed , I descide to learn more about mental illness. And find a job as a profesional caregiver. Took courses and read books about Dementia and Alzheimer's illness. Then I knew that we need to be prepared and accept changes in life. I learned that elderly needs more patience, compassion and respect . Is not easy for family members like I did experience to accept or understand this changes. I fell in love taking care of elder people. And everyday I want to be better in that field and give the best of me with love and compassion.

I believe that the elderly should be treated with respect, care, and offered caring assistance. My goal is to assist seniors so that they could maintain an independent lifestyle. At the same time, loved ones and family members could feel comfortable knowing that a caring person is there to help. In the past, I have worked with seniors and children with disabilities. I'll be happy to provide assistance in daily living which can include light housekeeping: sweeping, dusting, changing linen, washing dishes, etc. meal preparations, assistance in eating, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and often snacks as well. Running errands grocery shopping, pharmacy, etc. taking client to medical appointments, keeping up on my clients' hygiene, lite physical/ massage therapy or exercise routine as needed, weekly laundry. I'm a very compassionate, loving, kind-hearted, intelligent, fast learner, good listener, patient, understanding, honest & humble, as well as trustworthy. Companionship is of high importance as well. My hours of availability are limited at this time; if weekends or other hours are required it can possibly be worked out if you are located in Riverside or if there is a need for a possible live-in position. For new clients, payscale can be negotiable I take into consideration needs, driving time, etc.

I am 55 years old no kids at home have 2 dogs in love working with elderly people companionship is a plus and just making them laugh and be happy about themselves and make them feel comfortable in there home

I have been caring for the elderly for close to 13 yrs. I love people, to inneract with my clients is my happiness, my passion . I have made lots of friends for a life time . I have felt like part of their family and that gives me lots of comfort that they are happy with my services . I take care of my clients like family with respect and passion. What makes me happy at the end of my day is when they ask me will i see you tomorrow . Thats when i know they are pleased. I need them like they need me its a fit. I am bi-lingual as well. (Spanish)

I have been a caregiver for over 17 yrs. I Have worked with wonderful people whom I still keep in touch with some of the families. What made this work so amazing and worth all the long hours and hard work is the bond you create with every Patient and their families. There are sad moments when the job is over but the memories stay in your heart for ever and sometimes we are just lucky enough to keep a nice relationship with the families of the patients we have taken care of.
