Why i became a caregiver l enjoy working with elders and because it eas no one in my family that knew how it take care of my grandfather we had to ask people keep from putting him into a home and i started to enjoy working with elderly i know one day one of my family will need that help and like like to help people the best way that i can.and im a hard worker i will give it the best that i can to help people in need of care.

Hi, I'm Krista! I have said many times in my life that I was born and raised to become a caregiver. I say this because I was raised inside of nursing homes. My mother worked in nursing homes as far back as I can remember. Later my grandmother opened one herself and my mother went to work there. My mother would allow me to go to work with her to help out and spend time with the people. I was taught from a very young age the importance of taking care of the elderly. My mother and grandmother instilled in me a passion for helping and serving this older generation and ensuring that I do everything in my power to make sure that each one I have the opportunity of serving is able to live out their final years with companionship and an excellent quality of life and care. I want to do this work because I love it and it is something I believe to be so important. This is where I find fulfillment and joy. I believe that I get as much out of this work as I give, if not more!

I started in the medical field young, I grew up w/sickness in my family. Taking care of the sick became a passion, I LOVE it. Helping others feel better, walk, eat, dress, groom, is overjoying and gives me comfront knowing, I helped someone.

I started as a CNA when I turned 19 as a divorced single mom with a special needs child and no clue how to proceed.. I couldn't attend school work and tend to a high needs child so I worked and learned everything I could about epilepsy . And as a caregiver I became interested in dementia and Alzheimer's.. the Correlation between the diseases became a fascination for me which translates into the type of care that I provide for my clients. Between growing up in a family owned business where customer service was the TOP priority anticipating a clients basic needs came easily , then learning the specific and special que's and needs of the elderly was a easy cross over that I have loved ever since.. I hold a very dear spot in my heart and mind for so many wise ones, as I privately refer to them . I have gained more knowledge from my clients then I ever did behind a desk in school and I am both privileged and blessed to have been given this calling in my life.
