Growing up I was an only child then I lost both of my parents. My father passed away and my mother abandoned me. I am strong willed and can accomplish anything that is presented to me. Becoming a caregiver grew from my personal experience of caring for my grandfather. My grandfather built his home with his own hands and all he wanted was to live out his life in it. One day I may be fixing the dishwasher, the next day I'm correlating all your upcoming medical appointments and family visits. I believe that our age should not dominate our lives, how old we are does not determine who we are. I will do anything I can to help someone continue living in their home, because I believe if that's what they wish, then they deserve a chance. Aging in place is a realistic and viable option that we should always consider.
