I am very compassionate and empathetic. I have taken care of others for many years including family members suffering from dementia as well as other cognitive and physical disorders. I enjoy helping others obtain happiness and contentment while being able to live in a home setting. The best part of being a care giver is the personal reward. My proudest personal achievement is being a mom and nana.

I love taking care of people ive been doing it since middle school i started then taking care of my mom.its now been 15 years and im also cpr,basic life support certified ive been a cna for 15 years and it makes me happy when i know they are well taken care of.

I am energetic, have a huge heart. I'm always trying to find ways to help other people no matter the situation. I love hearing back stories on clients that's I have cared for, they always tell them perfectly! When my grandmother got sick in 2013 with stage 4 lung cancer I quit my job and took care of her until she went on hospice in her home, in 2014. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life and that was to be a nurse one day! My biggest achievement is when I went to LPN school, although I withdrew in February of 2019 the knowledge and experience I gained is not forgotten. I was going into my second clinical rotation when I caught the flu and missed 23 clock hours! I had an hour left until next semester which was 3 months away! I had no choice to withdraw, but I will become a nurse, it's my passion!

Let me start by writing about what I know. No matter how much excellent medical and/or psychological care and loving support a person may receive, the person who is facing challenges inevitably feels fragile and experiences a crisis of confidence. Total care only begins at the bedside. The whole environment becomes part of the treatment plan, with a goal of encouraging the person remain engaged in the day to day decisions and activities that govern his or her life. The next thing I know is that, regardless of how smart I think I am, that person with challenges has his or her own agenda and will put every effort into achieving those goals. This deserves great respect. This requires negotiation. This requires a sense of humor. This requires open minds. This is what I know. And since every situation is different, there is no cookie cutter big enough to consider all the possibilities for care and support. Every case depends on intelligent decisions, patience, and cooperation. All laced with healthy doses of kindness.

I became a caregiver to help others in their time of need and give the best care possible. I enjoy helping others and also being inspired to be my best in what I do in life and the career I chose. I have been chosen from numerous people to be the supervisor of the majority of my cases, which inspires me to give my all. I have been a caregiver for 28yrs plus, Making sure my clients are comfortable and happy with the care given. I am 52 reside in Canandaigua, children raised and grown, can be flexible with times needed, I have exper. in alzheimers, cancer, stroke, term. ill, etc.. also have exper. with catherdors, hoyers, j-tubes, wheel chairs, bed stricken, etc.., I can clean, cook, shop, take to appts., etc.. I enjoy what I do for others.

I'm a very motivated, kind and caring person who just wants to help those in need. I love being able to be companion to someone to needs one. I have 2 kids. I just lost my very first client. She was 100. She was my everything. I was with her for 22 months.

I have been in the home health care since 1997 when I became working with veterans. I have worked for nursing homes as well as Ontario arc and seneca cayuga arc. I have worked part time for private duties jobs as well. I love helping participants have the best quality of life. I'm very out going and organized. I believe that living a routine life helps consumers complete daily tasks and helps reach goals. I wear my heart on my sleeve and people label me as a nurturer. I can make the most difficult person open up to me. I'm dependable and reliable . I love to cook and clean. I'm willing to take on challenges.

I became a caregiver because I love helping people. I love seeing the smiles on the faces of my residents every day when they know there is someone there who is going to truly care for them no matter what. I am a care giver on a Neuro behavioral Unit which can be very challenging at times but something I love about being a caregiver is being able to be there for people who need me. Knowing that I am caring for someone who might not be able to do things without me and teaching them how to do daily activities on their own is the best. A personal achievement I am proud of is rescuing my dog that I have. He was terribly neglected to the point where he was starved and had mange and I was able to help him get better and make him know he will never be treated that way again. I am planning on going to be a registered nurse eventually but for right now I am content being a CNA. Iwouldnt be happier doing anything else in my life right now.
