I was a registered nurse for 25 years. I have extensive experience in home care, and especially enjoy home care because it gives me a chance to work in an environment in which people are the most comfortable. I enjoy becoming a part of each client's life and in meeting family members and friends. I have found I have a knack for building rapport with clients. I believe in treating each client in a holistic manner, and in communicating with him/her as a person, not as the condition for which he/she is receiving services. Hello, I'm Tamika I live in Hoyt, Kansas. I've been a Certified Nursing Assistant since 2014 in the state of Kansas. Previously, I was a Certified Nursing Assistant/Medication Aide in Nebraska started in 2011, before becoming certified in Kansas. I really enjoy working with patients/clients who need assistance with activities of daily living, whether its getting up and ready for the day, medication reminders, ambulation assistance, meal preparation, or just compainonship. I became a Certified Nursing Assistant because I enjoy making someones day bright by just a simple smile. I'm a single mom of a 4 year old boy. I work August through May as a Special Education Para with visually impaired children, for local school district.

I'm at home health care provider. I like to call it whole family care. That includes lighthouse work, laundry and meal preparation. I am a CNA plus registered medical assistant I received perfect attendance and a 4.3 gpa RMA received in 2007. Receaved extra courses from John's Hopkins in Dementia and Alzheimer's. I have as well enjoyed art therapy classes. I am exploring going back to school while working part-time. I figure I can not receave enough education when it comes to home health care. Caring & supporting the families @ end of life was very rewarding as long as I know they are comfortable & understand.
