In my most recent job, I worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant who provided outstanding healthcare services to residents at Heartis of Waco Assisted Living and Memory Care. Prior to moving to the United States in 2008, I worked for more than 8 years as a surgical room nurse in a cosmetic surgery clinic in my native country of Colombia. My interpersonal and communication skills are outstanding: I am fluent in Spanish and proficient in English, and I am adept at helping people to open up and to feel at ease. I am a very outgoing and caring person, i will always put others needs above my own and i believe that is the biggest trait that helps me be an amazing caregiver. Helping others is my passion and i feel that for me, you must establish an amazing connection to the people you are caring for, you must treat them as a human and not just a job. Honesty, patience & being dependable are very important when working with the elderly. I like working with people, especially one on one and giving them all the attention they need/want. About Me, I have been a caregiver for over 15 years, first in a nursing home in my home town of Hillsboro, TX.. I worked as a CNA and also the Business Office for 10 years in the same facility. Then I tried Hospice care for about a year. Then I was a private sitter for a year and a half to an eldery woman. I have a passion for taking care of others who need it! And will take care of my patients to the best of my ability.
