Hello,I've been in the home health business for 25yrs. I'm comfortable and familiar with every aspect of care giving . I've never met a stranger a day in my life,I can get along with anyone. I'm a quick study and welcome learning something new everyday.

I am naturally dependable, compassionate and trustworthy and very patient with others. I am able to perform complex medical task, supervise patients, make decisions, solve problems, provide emotional support/comfort and coordinate care. I enjoy working with people and enjoying having 1 on 1 interactions with others. I get to be a part of a new family. I make enormous difference in people's lives. I enjoy most about being a care giver is seeing smiling faces!! A personal achievement I am proud of is my resourcefulness, flexibility and determination, even with a difficult patient caregiving can be one of the most rewarding experiences in your life!

I believe what makes me a good caregiver. Is I have alot of patience, hard working, caring and down to earth. I decided to become a caregiver because I love helping others in need. I treat my clients as if they were apart of my family, which is with care and respect. Making my client laugh is my main goal. Laughter is good for the heart. It warmed my heart when a few clients I use to work with told me that they loved me for taking such good care of them. That reassured me that I achieved my goal taking care of them the best I can.

I am trustworthy, dependable, honest, caring, loving and most of all patient. I have been a caregiver for almost 15 years, I have worked with many clients over the years and I would have to say I still learn something new with each and every new client is why I do this. I enjoy getting to know the clients and seeing the happiness on their faces when the goals and achievements are met that they made. A personal achievement I made would be graduating college with my associates degree and maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

I am caring, empathetic, and quick to learn. I have been around all ages and have seen & experienced many different disabilities or health conditions. I tend to be a fixer. I know majority of the patients are probably going to be terminal but personally, I believe everyone in life is considered terminal. I look at things as if we aren't going to get out alive, so let's 1. Meet the necessary needs for each patient. 2. Let them enjoy the life they have left here with the people they love & by doing the things they love. I think for the most part when you have a heart that's keen to the caregiving industry, the most enjoyable thing is getting to go home with a fulfilling, "I did good for someone who truthfully needed it" feeling. But most of all, there's no story like an old story. I love to listen to them, to take in as much as I can but making sure I still fulfill my professional expectations while doing so. My heart is kind and ready to help or do everything in my power to keep these patients happy. Being that I am only 24, I don't have a whole lot of personal achievements that I'm beyond ecstatic to share just yet. But I think in this moment, answering this question, my most proud achievement so far is overcoming the life that I chose for myself. Overcoming the toxic family, overcoming my own personal self doubts or self worth. To feel like enough is enough some days & to know I am worthy of this life, to know God has put me here to do his work so He can sit back and watch is an overwhelming, gracious humbleness. I am a honest, caring, loving person that loves helping others. I started wanting to be a caregiver at a young age. I was 16 when I helped my mom with my Nanny and Papaw my Nanny had breast cancer and my Papaw had dementia. It's my passion to be able to help others. I have a big heart and I am a kind hearted person.

I enjoy helping others. Children and elderly are my favorite people. Teach the young and be taught by the wise.... I'm an excellent cook. Actually have my kitchen managers certification. CPR and first aide certified as well. I've raised two children on my own for the last 4 years, I can do anything!!

Hello, I am Rose. I am 60, married with no children at home. I am very responsible ,trustworthy and dependable. I have enrolled in the Care. com background program and can be viewed here on this site. I am now a night Caregiver for a Lady I have been with 14 months. I was caregiver for a senior gentleman. I worked with him for 3 years. We did a lot of activities: Went out to fantastic dinners, sight see, traveled to his childhood neighborhood , met with his former employee's & friends. I also, was his wife's caretaker. Alzheimer's was her cruel demise. I was with them to the end. I also, assistant a lovely lady for 2 years. She was an early onset Alzheimer victim, also. I was with my Lady to her passing I will travel. I love what I do and I strive for quality in life . Reading or Audio Books, Music, Movies, Conversation, Outings, I am Open for all Activities ( as appropriate) . I am a smoker but respectful with it. I am working on this bad habit. I am a registered CNA, and have been in the nursing home setting helping with ADL's, showering, changing beds, etc. Ive always had a passion for helping people, its such a rewarding job. The relationships you make is the most enjoyable thing about caregiving, I love talking to the patients about their life and what not. Passing my CNA test has been an achievement I am most proud of.
