What attracted me to caregiving was my mother, ever since I was old enough to remember I would go with my mother who is currently a CNA to her job and I fell in love with her passion of caring for everyone. When I was applying for different kind of jobs (manufacturing, warehouse) where I had more than 15 years experience, I was offer a position as caregiver of a lovely 90 years old lady, we got along since the first moment and became her part time cg. I found out that I have that special touch so much needed when working with elderly. I treat them with respect. I know it must not be easy losing your independence and if at home, seeing "strangers" coming into your house and practically take control over your stuf. That's why I like asking them (when posible) how they like things being done in their house.

I became a CNA at age 16 , I always wanted to peruse a career in healthcare , I love how rewarding caregiving is and how much I learn from my patients/ clients . I know how difficult it can be to transition into a new stage in life and I feel thankful to be able to care for others and make a difference in their life even in the smallest possible way .

I even was hired to work at a Senior facility (Monte Vista). Realizing my calling was in in-home services. I chose not to accept the position. I have done several years of private in-home care. I have alot care to give to my clients.., personalizing to each of their needs. I have experienced several types of clients. Ranging from Dementia to a Brain Tumor Hospice client. I've been taking care of my grandma for about 10 years already, I have so much patience for her. I make sure she always feels comfortable for herself, I help her get around the house. Bathe her, clothe her, clean her nails & other feminine ways. I also help her after she uses the restroom, make sure she takes her medication on time. And always make sure she's stays hydrated. Makes me proud I'm able to help my grandmother, also gives me more satisfaction she feels safe with me.

Hello my name Yessica I'm 24 year old my favorite color is blue red black . Manily red I have a dog his name chester I like spending my time with him on my free time . I like to provide my help and companionship to our senior citizen who most of the time don't have many people to talk to . I like being able make a difference in people life by making them smile . Helping them with thier everday life . I just like helping others . I worked as a caregiver for 5-6 year now I took a break in the middle of those year worked with customer service ! Although it can be great job I rather works with senior . A job we're you don't stress as much. Dealing with customer services isn't something I wish to deal with . I feel like working with senior to sale are 2 very different things . And I enjoy my job as a caregiver.!My personal goal is to work very hard to save up and travel befor I start my own family .
