Hello my name is Melissa. I became a Caregiver and Personal Care Aide/ HHA in 2013. I wanted to make a career change. So I decided the field In Home Health. I enjoy providing Professional Caregiving in my community, I care a lot about people especially our seniors and veterans. I enjoy working with them and assisting them with daily needs, personal care, companionship. To see the smile on their face is a great feeling. That I'm helping them in their homes to have a better quality of life.

I became a caregiver when my grandmother that I adored was diagnosed with dementia. I continued to take on more and more responsibilities as her condition progressively got worse. After she passed I know that I was blessed with the passion to be a caregiver. I feel that if I can put a smile on their face, or give them a hug to let them know that they are safe and loved I have done my job. My personal achievement is that I have raised 3 well rounded children that have all accomplished the goals they have set for themselves.
