I am a very compassionate reliable person with over 30 yrs experience. I used to take care of my grandmother and enjoyed ever minute. I love helping the elderly. Making them feel worthy and making them smile is all worth it. I am very sensitive to their feelings. They need companionship someone to listen and have patience and I am that person.

Wife of 27 years, mother to 5, grandmother to 1. Work history includes home health CNA, Law Enforcement, Property Management and full time mother . Last 10 plus years I was the full time care giver for my mom who was a kidney patient (dialysis, medicine induced diabetic), auto-immune Patient which led to head and neck cancer and dad (COPD, Emphysema) before they passed. I enjoy caring for everyone, but the elderly hold a special place in my heart. Listening to them reminisce about the things they did when they were younger is one of my favorite things. They may not remember what they ate for breakfast, but watching their eyes light up when they tell me about a first love, a best friend from school or anything from their younger days fills my heart with joy. Previous experience in cancer care, dialysis care, COPD, emphysema, dementia, diabetic care and special needs. CPR/AED certified

It takes a special person to care for our elderly. I treat your family, like I would be caring for my own. I have been a CNA for over 12 years, working in a nursing home was not a good fit for me. So I left and have spent the last 10 yrs caring for people in their own homes. I have cared for the early Alzheimer's and watch them transition. I have cared for a set of 26 wk old preemies and watched them grow to become very active girls. My greatest traits kindness, caring, loving and patient.

In 2007 I helped my Mother take care of my Father who had prostate cancer. During that time Hospice took over and I continued to help my Mother and sadly my Father passed in 2008. In 2017 after Hurricane Harvey hit Rockport, TX. I temporarily moved back to San Antonio. It was during my stay that my Mother's Dr., stated to me my Mother could no longer live by herself. And without hesitation I became my Mother's 24/7 Care Provider. And sadly she passed in 2018. I have a strong desire to care for those who need caring, whether by Companionship or as their Care Provider. I enjoy listening to their stories; cooking and most importantly seeing them smile and laugh. My personal achievement is that upon my decision to make my move back to San Antonio, I asked God what He wanted me to do? In His small quiet voice, He put it in my heart for me to go move home and take care of my Mother. And that is exactly what I did.

My name is Mercy and I am happy to be your choice caregiver. I spent the last 4 years caring for my grandkids and now the younger one is off to middle school come this Fall. This gives me ample time to seek work outside of the home. Before I settled with my grandkids, I took care of my husband with a stroke until he passed 5 years ago. I took the PCA training and helped take care of a paralyzed patient in Minnesota until I moved to Virginia.

I spent over ten years caring for a wonderful woman. It started out part time after her knee replacement. After a what turned into us both selling our homes and investing in a home in the country. I over saw all the remodeling as she walked with a walker and sometimes used a wheel chair. Our home was one story and 4400 Sq ft. So she was able to get through every door and into her shower. Actually both of could fit and she could sit while I bathed her. Her family had didn't have time for her so my children and my parents and family adopted her into ours. Needless to say we had many wonderful memories. Until covid came around. She caught it at trip to the ER for a mild stroke. The women I laughed with and yes sometimes we argued never came home again. She was a dear friend who I loved very much. And I miss that friendship, so my heart has healed some and I'm ready to find another friend that I can help make both our lives a little bit more sunny. I have spent 27 years as a caregiver. I am a special education teacher and have taught/taken care of infants, preschoolers, K-12 and most recently my elderly father who was very frail with Dementia. I took him out of a full time care facility in CA to have him live with us on our farm here in KY. His favorite thing to do was to help feed the animals or socialize our animal babies. I thrive when taking care of others and I absolutely loved taking care of my dad, even though he wasn't necessarily the same dad that I knew growing up. He was very vulnerable and self conscious about his difficulties and I did everything I could to make him feel like we needed him here to help on the farm.
