I became a caregiver for my grandfather in 2013. In the beginning the need for my assistance was little. I did some light cooking, cleaning, running of errands and other small tasks he requested. Over the next couple years I took on more and more responsibility and in 2015 he had an accident that left him unable to remain out of bed for longer than a few minutes at a time. From this point I happily took on the responsibility of being his full-time and full-service caregiver. I took care of virtually every aspect of his daily life and began additionally helping him with transportation to and from doctors appointments and physical rehab/therapy, as well as mobility and grooming, yardwork and maintenance, vehicle repairs, and a number of other things that he had a tough time with after the accident. I found this experience to be extremely rewarding, allowing me to use my knowledge and understanding of his health complications to help him live an easier life when things got too difficult to do on his own. This in turn allowed me to develop a deep-rooted and long-lasting relationship with the man I admired for such a long time. Through the course of my 8 years as my grandfather's caregiver, I was able to develop and refine personal and professional skills that made daily tasks and activities easier and more efficient for both of us. Patience and understanding, sense of urgency, responsibility, reliability, respect and effective communication skills were some of these. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to take care of my grandfather and would enjoy the opportunity to provide the same level of assistance to other families in need.

I am a loving and caring person that takes helping others in their homes seriously. I believe people belong in their homes with their families especially eight now with the way COVID is.

Hi! My name is Julie and I have been in the caregiving field for over 15 years now. I have a B.A in Psychology from the University of California Santa Cruz. I pride myself in being a kind, caring, empathetic, conscientious individual. I went to school and pursued a degree in Psychology because I wanted to work in a field of service. Hence, I have spent the last 20 years assisting others in pursuing the best quality of life that is possible for them.

As an individual who spent her early years in a civil war, it was seriously sad to see people who were affected badly and had no one to care for them. Due to my passion for humanity, I found myself voluntarily helping victims in anyway I could as encountered them. After my transition to the US due to the war, I knew that caregiving was a part of me and decided to spent my career life doing that. As a care giver, it gives me nothing less that joy and excitement to know that I can be there for an individual during their most critical time of need and that I can also be a part of the team who nurture them back to recovery/health. I'm proud to say that I've worked with multiple clients who has successfully recovered fully as well as clients who has not. But again, such is life.

My best trait is having love for helping people. I've been a caregiver off and on for over 20 years. Just knowing that I'm able to help, be there for and be a dedicated helping hand is the highlight of loving what I do. My personal achievements are raising four amazing children, becoming a CNA at the age of 17, getting my associates degree to becoming a business owner.

I have a great personality, I'm funny, nice to be around and very patient. I've cared for my children and my mother in law and I love to help people. Knowing that someone need help and I can help them warms my heart. The best thing that I did for myself was to get CNA license and get out of the retail business, we're I wasn't happy at.

I've always had a heart for caring for others. It is such a wonderful feeling knowing I can be of help to those of need. I have 10yrs of experience in the medical field. I've started with helping my grandmother as a little girl such as brushing her hair on a daily, picking out her clothes, to then giving her, her medications. I cared for several other family members until I decided to then move on to working in a doctor's office as a medical/billing assistant which included me rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting the doctor's, submitting billing, and most importantly building friendly and trusting relationships. I'm now in the field working one on one with individual clients, being able to give my full undivided attention to make sure I care for all needs required as well as giving that security and confidence that they are in good hands.

I feel I am compassionate and have always enjoyed be around and helping the elderly, I worked in a nursing house for three years when I was younger and did home care and helped take take of my mother before she died.I have also cleaned for the elderly for over 20 years. First of all I must say that since I have been a caregiver I have learned a lot of things as far as being patient, how to truly love and care about someone , because when you are with someone for a long period of time you really get to know that person and become so close to them and once they are gone it really gets to your heart . Hello! My name is Keesha and I have been a caregiver, for a little over 2 years. I have traveled the world, worked some of the best jobs, eaten amazing food, been to some spectacular shows, museums and events, but caregiving has been the most rewarding experience thus far. As a 31 year young woman, there is always significant age difference between my clients and I, and I think that's what makes our relationships so special. Each client is like a new book. I learn so much of their lives, who they were, their spouse, kids parents, etc. and they get to learn so much from me! Being a caregiver is more than just completing daily chores, it's about connected with the individual. It's understanding that they're in a new/last phase of their lives, and this phase should be treated with attentiveness, love, patience and respect. I love what I do and I think it's special.
