My personality is to talk one on one with a quiet atmosphere. I enjoy beauty and helping to make a home comfortable and pleasing. The littlest thing can change the environment providing enjoyment and pleasantness. I took care of a lady once that no one wanted to be around. She was extremely difficult and angry. As hard as it was at times to take the verbiage, touching her cheek and whispering good-night calmed her till she held my hand and asked me to never leave. And I love to cook good food!!!

I have a passion for putting others first and it is the most rewarding thing a person can do but the reward is not the motivator behind my choice to be a care giver, I enjoy what I do. what I like about caregiving is the fact that am able to provide care for my client and the smile on their faces shows satisfaction. Caregiving was something that fell into my lap but found that is was a true passion. I am a retail manager and I have a patience for my customers that comes naturally. My fiance became very ill with heart failure at 38. He was the first person I cared for I took on this challenge with a 100% commitment with that I had to take an early retirement from my management position. I realized this is what I was meant to do all along. Unfortunately he passed away .My heart and patience with my fiance made me realize I can do this for others and have been cargiving ever since. I am very proud and honored to be given the trust and responsibility to care for someones loved one. For them to know that they can feel at ease when in my care is essential. I am very proud of that. It's not just the day to day duties that are important its companionship. It's making the client feel they are truly cared for by their caregiver and that is not just a paycheck. It made me so happy to know my clients couldn't wait for me to come back from my days off the feeling is so amazing!!! There are a lot of caregivers out there but good caregivers are hard to find. Our elders and people of special needs need interaction, compassion, human contact, music, stimulation, conversation not just handing them medication and a plate of food. I am dependable, optimistic and like helping people. I am a Massage Therapist and have always been drawn to helping people heal with touch therapy. The 20 years I have been a massage therapist I have been able to help people with so many ailments and keep them from having to have surgery or stay on pain medication. I was asked by a friend in the last year to help her when she found out she had Brain Cancer. I didn't expect that I would learn so much and feel like I had a purpose like I did.
