I love helping and caring for people , I have a 9 yr old little boy that was born at 24 weeks he has always had a lot of medical problems I have always cared for his and taken care of all his medical needs , example changing feeding tubes, tube feedings ,administering medications and injections, wound care, he also has seziures, and is austistic, deaf , has CP and more. I also took care of my terminally ill mother before she passed, My passion is caring and helping people I always wanted to be a nurse but was always to busy caring for my mother then my son . I now have help with my son and would like to persue a job in home health care

I am a highly respected caregiver mainly to children of all ages for approximately 25 years. I have diligently and proudly worked my way through the ranks in this filed from beginning as a cook to owner/operator of my own home childcare business. Although I have mainly worked with children, I have in the past stepped in to help in the aide and care of an elderly lady of 96 as a companion health care provider on numerous occasions to help a past employer of mine in the care for a friend when she could not. I am soon to be 53 on July 29 and looking to make some changes in my life as to the area in which I wish to share my love and compassion for people. In 2012, I moved back home from PA to SC and brought my father who was 80 at the time to my home to care for him after my mother passed away when he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. I am caring fun to be around. I am on time and I get things done. I have done this type of work befor I took care of a young lady that has spinsbifida from the late 1980's to the 1990's. I took care of a woman who had health issues in 2004 until she let me go so her brothers girlfriend could have a job we remain friends until her death in 2008. I took care of my mother for fifteen years she had health issues. until she died two and a half years ago from copd.

I became a caregiver years after my mother passed away from breast cancer. Taking such good care of her was fulfilling to me to know she was getting the ultimate care she deserved. I started taking care of others who's families knew me personally and I was so appreciated for my being able to relate to the experience that I realized I was very good at assessing the needs of the client to assist the families in there time of need. When I was 18 I got a job being a residential counselor at a group home for special needs kids, this is where I realised I wanted to work and help people in anyway I could. There is no greater feeling then know what I'm doing actually makes a difference in someone's life. After moving on from that job I began working with a gentleman with short term memory loss For a few years. In 2011 I went on my own and began Working with another gentleman, that need a hand With just about every daily need. I have done many different classes and certifications, I am also going to school to be a kindergarten / special education teacher.

I enjoyed taking care of individual at all stage of life. The importance of helping others. I am a diverse person with numerous experience in the healthcare and senior year of my bachelor in International Business with minor in Business Economics. My name is Kristin. I have been a caregiver for over 20 years. I started out in 1991 as a home health aide in Hunterdon county, NJ, while in college over the summers. I became a caregiver because I was so impressed with the care my grandmother received on hospice. They took care of her psychological and spiritual needs as well as her physical needs. They were truly angels and it was a great example of what I wanted to do for someone in their life someday. The next summer, I applied and was accepted for a home health aide position. I have never grown tired of caring for people in their homes. No matter what the case, it is always interesting, and I always learn so much from my clients. I am currently working as a private duty aide on weekends, so I have a lot of time to give to other cases. I would prefer evening work to be home with my children in the morning. However, I am willing to consider any shift or hours available. I have been married and living in Exeter Twp. PA for 18 years and have 3 children, ages 14, 12, and 10. I enjoy cooking, baking and arts and crafts. I also like to chat with others and tell stories. I am a great reader and enjoy reading to other people. I am very good with animals as well and enjoy people's pets, I have no animal allergies. I currently have CPR certification, which I plan on renewing in April 2015. I enjoy meeting and working with people of all ages, although most of my experience is with the elderly.

I also found things she like to do,such as watch t,v, and movies... put puzzles together.. some family outings..My mom was unable to walk so she spend her time in bed or in a wheel chair. ..I worked for the medicare waiver program and I was paid to stay home and take care of my mom. The reason I became a Caregiver, is that I love to help elders and to see them happy. It gives me joy to see them Smile and Laugh. I like being a Caregiver because, alot of elders have family that is always busy, or has things to do and are not able to be at home. One personal achievement I am proud of, is that I helped my neighbors sister when she had her husband in hospice. I felt good helping her in her times of need. I am a very musical person, I am outgoing and fun, I love to laugh, I love to joke. I have an important role in church settings, such as the youth group and church every sunday.
