I absolutely love being a caregiver. I love to share my kindness and care for the elderly....I take pride in being there to help them with their everyday activities... I enjoy their wisdom too! I would love to start my own senior care company one day....I am a phlebotomist a certified medical assistant and I have been a caregiver for over 10 years.

Being a caregiver is one of the best jobs I've had. I have 10+ years experience as a companion. I am a hard worker and a good listener, and I will take very good care of the person who needs help getting around. I am reliable, I understand someone is counting on me to be there to help them.

I presently work for a Retirement and care home but I would like to become a caregiver work with a one on one client. what I like about being a caregiver is working with one client one on one and being able to assist the client with direct assistance to all their direct needs. I am proud to be able to assist a client by being very professional and friendly to achieve the best quality in helping my clients satisfaction. well I am a Certified Nurses asst. with a valid first aid/Cpr card a great background check a clean valid drivers license with a great personality and great transportation and valid insurance and I am very reliable and a great worker as well.

I became a caregiver out of necessity. First, I started taking care of my 90 year old grandmother. Next my father became very ill and we found out it was his heart and kidneys. He was diabetic, requiring a special diet, insulin and about ten different med for his heart. He required three trips to dialysis weekly before passing. Then my brother required my assistance from 2003 until 2008 for depression. I managed his medication, his bi-weekly doctor visits and I was his shopper and housekeeper as he was homebound. Now, I help with my mother who is legally blind. I take care of shopping and paying all bills. And yes I managed to take care of everyone while working a full time job! Now that I am retired I have the time to really just concentrate on assisting people with their life without any distractions, which will be nice. I am just a take charge and help kind of person. I believe in helping all people and all animals. That is just who I have always been! I would much prefer helping others one on one than be chained to my desk jobs! I am most proud of raising three great children all on my own while working full time. Each have wonderful personalities! I like to cook healthy meals, so I am very aware of the importance of nutrition. I love to read. I love music. Both are good for the soul!

I assisted my grandmother and her sister after they were in an accident. She encouraged me to become a caregiver. I enjoy building a good rapport with those I care for. I like to help people be as independent as possible. I enjoy doing activities with people that they enjoy doing. My achievement is work related. I worked with a stroke victim who needed assistance with everything. I worked with him for two years, three times a week, four hours each day doing therapy with him. When I left the job he was toileting himself, dressing himself, making his own meals. Simple meals cereal, soup, sandwiches, frozen sandwiches microwaved. He was reading and writing as much as possible his walking had improved immensely. It was time for him to enter the public activities . It was a sweet but tearful departure we had become great friends. I have worked with seniors for 26 years, five of those being. In home care doing therapy and companion care. I volunteer at the Arlington Hts Nurses Lending Closet on Saturday mornings. I assist people get the proper adaptive equipment they need . I enjoy spending time with family and friends and attending church is important to me.

I am passionate about caring for others. I believe in helping to restore confidence to someone who may think that a disability is a limitation. I enjoy connecting with the clients by spending time with them and listening to them and hearing them reminisce. I am confident that anyone that I come in contact with will benefit tremendously from my patience, empathetic ways and my tolerant demeanor. I am very hardworking and extremely reliable.

I became a caregiver because I love helping people and it feels good to help people. The thing I like about being a caregiver is coming close with them and seeing the smile on their faces from my services. My kids are my greatest achievement to me. 1). I took care of my two parents for more than ten years. As my neighbor got older she to was welcomed in to my home. At that time their were three adult's in my home to take care of. 2). I enjoy helping people. 3). I am most proud of my son who is now 30 years old. I am also proud of the fact that when I was 10 years old I remember my mother and farther say that when they got old they did not want to be put in a nursing home.
