I am very caring and sensitive to the needs of the elderly and sick. I am naturally very helpful and nurturing. I like to help elderly people to take care of all their needs. I feel like can provide an environment where a patient can feel comfortable, safe and still keep their dignity.

At a young age i saw my sister become disabled and learned how important it was to have someone help care for her. My family and I came together to help. As an adult I saw my father fight his battle with diabetes and hypertension.. as a full time mom i was able to help care for him just as he did for me when I was a child. I learned about diabetes and managing hypertension. I love to cook and bake. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is knowing that the person will be accompanied and well cared for. I believe we all need someone to care and look after our parents and family. I know from experience how hard it is to find a compassionate and caring caretaker.

I find great pleasure in caring for others and helping them be more comfortable and successful with their health and wellbeing. I am very good with medications due to my experience in pharmacy and also great with first aid/wound care. I like being a caregiver because it gives an opportunity to meet new people and uses my strengths well.

I treat each client as individual based on their needs and try to Assist them in achieving it in as a goal and showing them being positive will help them to get there. I always loved helping people and the elderly are fun love their stories but listening is a very important roll for the client family and other professional as well. I enjoy by helping the individual to succeed in their goal and continuing it and adding on. But wen they accomplished the goal then I did my job. But as a caregiver u wear many hats and u really have to love what u do! As I do! The personal achievement I'm proud of is when a client says thank you and I love you!!! That tells me I did my job but treated them for who they are and I listened!!!!

The reason I like being a caregiver is I like being with the seniors since I was so little when my two grandma died I didn't get the chance to give them love now that I'm older & knowing that I can give love the older & taking care Of them like my grandma or grandpa. I loved it so much , I just knew caregiving was my calling . I've been in this field for 10 plus years . I love to help people, especially the elderly. They are often "left out" and "forgotten about". I have seen this happen and vowed to do everything I could to facilitate some kind of change in the way the elderly are treated. By being someone who is honest, caring and having a genuine want to be there for those whose family are busy trying to make it in life themselves but want quality care and companionship for their loved one(s).

After five years of volunteering at nursing facilities during my teens, I fell in love with spending time with seniors so I became a geriatrics nurse. I enjoyed my time as a charge nurse and a supervisor for the Beatitudes, but stopped to raise a family. I have continued to miss my contact with seniors and I occasionally take on clients. With my nursing background and deep respect and genuine interest in giving companionship and basic care for those in need, I am able to provide my clients with excellent service. I communicate well with both family and doctors on behalf of the client.

I have taken care of people most of my adult life. I have always enjoyed seniors. My personal view, I see some neglected be it emotionally or physically. Just because they are older doesn't mean they are not human. It gives me pleasure to listen to their stories and see them laugh and smile. I am a very compassionate person. I decided to become a caregiver because I know how important It is for families to have their loved ones be able to stay at home. My family decided to use a care giver for my mother who is dealing with dementia and I know first hand how wonderful it is to know that she is being cared for and that she is able to get out of the house on occasion and enjoy life. . I moved to Tampa about 1 1/2 years ago and I joined Meals on Wheels to deliver meals to the elderly and those in need. The need for companionship is there and I would love to spend time with your loved one. I have been blessed with two sons, age 21 and 23. They are both in Pennsylvania one working and one going to college. I have the time and I would love to spend my time helping others.

I am a mother to three children! I am a kind, compassionate often silly person. I enjoy people! Although I do not have any degrees in healthcare I have done in home daycare for 11 years, Taken care of the elderly, helped take care of my great grandmother with Alzheimer's, and my grandmother! I truly love taking care of others!

I'm a mother, daughter and granddaughter. My grandpa passed away in 2000, leaving my legally blind grandma alone. At that time I knew she needed me more than ever. As the years went by, her needs became more and more. It gave me the opportunity to spend more time with her. Listening to her stories of the "old days" learning how to make her favorite recipes so she was able to taste them again. It was very humbling. Through the years, I gave birth to two beautiful daughters now 16 and 18. I also cared for many other children over the years. My whole life I've cared for others in one way or another. Not long after high school, I became a CNA. After a couple of years I decided to join the military to serve my country. I love helping where I can, I know how it feels to have an elderly loved one and worry every day that they are being cared for and having conversations to keep their minds sharp. So, all and all I'm excited to have to opportunity to care for your family member.
