Growing up I assisted my mother in the care of both set of grandparents. By the time I was in High School I was the full time caregiver for my grandfather whom had Alzheimer's disease. After his passing, I moved on to help numerous family members and friends with the care of their loved ones. I worked in a Retirement home for 3years. I enjoyed all that I learned there but missed the connections you can develop with Personal Home Care.

I am very outgoing. I love to dedicate my time and patience to people that need someone to listen and have a great conversation. I love being a caregiver because someone needs me and I'm there front and center. I love helping people no matter what age. I enjoy the talks, the walks, the companionship, I love making people happy. I love uplifting people no matter what they are going through. I believe my nursing experience Helps me to be a great caregiver. I was working for a friend before I started taking care of my first client. I took care of her for a little over a year before she passed away. She had two different kinds of dementia, and we loved each other. I helped her with everything. I wasn't working as a caregiver. I was working for a friend of mine in another field, but the clients daughter called me and asked me if I would take care of her and I agreed and we were a good fit. She trusted me and I cared about her a lot. I love being a caregiver because it's rewarding and helping other people touches something in my heart and makes me a happy individual. Proud of the fact that I achieved my goal of becoming a nurse, but I was disappointed when I couldn't continue working as a nurse in the hospital setting.
