Hello my name is Yolanda I've been a caregiver for several years. Worked with Alzheimer's and dementia as well as hospice patients. I'm very passionate about what I do. Its an amazing feeling to know that with my help I could make a difference in peoples lives I love it.. I always tell people no matter how tuff things get be positive it helps I promise. Its good to be in better spirits. my hospice patient of 2. 5 years recently passed. What makes me a great Caregiver is my ability to bring the best out in a person and my compassion for those who can't care for themselves! I became a Professional Licensed Caregiver, because of my father, whom was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2010! Through my father's pain and suffering my destiny and purpose was birthed! After his passing, I went on a quest to pursue the field of Caregiving! The only thing I hate is the fact that my father isn't here to witness this part of my life! Caregiving is definitely a calling from God and I'm glad that he chose me for such a task as this!

I believe our elders need caregivers with these traits, because sometimes our clients can't clearly communicate themselves, or they simply don't know what's wrong. As a caregiver I need to possess the courage and tenacity to make sure my client receives the best of care and always include the family and physicians and whoever else is part of the care team.

One of my most greatest accomplishments would be working for a retired private practice radiologist! I'm caring person compassion love elderly, I'm Asian American . I did small group care for elderly California license for almost 25th year. Moved to Las Vegas to be close to my son who is in the Air Force base New Mexico .

What makes me a great caregiver is that I understand the patient. I love working with people especially the elderly and those who can't do for themselves. I like to work with them because people try to take advantage of those who can't take care of themselves. I I've to sing to my patients. It keeps them calm when they get irritable.
