I charge $17 an hour for overnight shifts and $15 during the day. I was attracted to being a caregiver because I feel that everyone should help each other. Seniors have lived incredible lives and I believe it is up to younger generations to help them in their time of need. I feel that you should treat people how you wish to be treated and one day if I should have the need I hope some one like me would take care of myself or family. I have provided caregiver services for my own family. it is an incredibly rewarding job.

Years ago, 20+ I was a CNA in Madison Wisconsin for about a year. I worked in two different nursing homes and thoroughly enjoyed being with the elderly and still do! I never had grandparents and I feel a special bond with them. I missed out on those things growing up. I am patient, kind, caring, and ethical in all ways. I work as a day staff programmer for people who are disabled at the moment which gives me more experience. I used to watch children for 4+ years plus my grandmother in Mexico as well for 5 months. Taking care of my grandmother had attracted me into wanting to be a caregiver since not a lot of people want to watch or care for elders. What I enjoyed most about being a caregiver to my grandmother was the smile on her face because she had someone to talk to everyday and care for her so she wouldn't feel alone. I believe my personal achievement that I am proud of is keeping them on a schedule and being consistent with them. Also knowing the fact that they don't feel as alone and content with my presence.
