1. I became a caregiver because I have a passion helping others, mostly the elderly 2. They have paved the way for us and I feel it is my duty to help them keep living a fulfilled life. 3. I am personally proud of the fact that I helped take care of a relative that would have been placed in a nursing home, had I not insisted to care for him. 4. I am a loving, caring and very conscientious type of person.

1. I like caring for people because, It gives me the opportunity to get to know clients and their families and become an integral part of their lives. I love caring for the elderly because in doing so I get to show love and the kind of care to a person that no longer can do for themselves. After working with them i love to see the smile on their faces, it is overwhelming and makes me feel gratitude that i can offer someone peace of mind. I have always been a people person, so I know that being a caregiver is a benefit to a family who can not be there for there love ones. 2. I Contribute to a positive living environment to enhance my client's quality of life without them having to leave their homes or familiar environment and go to assisted living. 3. My personal achievements is raising, 6 children, own my own home based business for over 8 years. While assisting my kids with my grandchildren. 4. I am a compassionate, caring and loving person, I have been caring for the Elderly for over 30 years, I started working for the City of New York in 1980 when no certification was needed, and they were the only agency that did home health care . Traveled to various homes on a daily basis to give care and keep the patient in their own environment. I have over 20 years Experience working for various hospitals and units, Orthopedics, Geriatric Care, Psyche Unit, Transitional Care , Wound care, Patients on Vents Units, ICU, Pediatrics, Mother Baby Care Unit, Alzheimer,s Care, Terminally Ill , etc. Assisted Physical and Occupational Therapist with patients ambulation and activities of daily living. The hospitals i have worked for is Jacobi Hospital Bronx NY, Santa Monica UCLA, California, Centinela Hospital Medical Center California, Good Samaritan Hospital California, California Hospital Medical Center and Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center Las Vegas NV.

The reason I want to be a care giver that the only Job I can do to help my kids going to school , n also I love helping others , they just like my own . That all the elderly I been with they love me cause Im patient love understanding their need once I did it to my own parents I miss them. Im the person you trust to care for them I m always on time and you can depend on me the most of it that I love being with the elderly .

Through my experience as a nursing student, I've completed a year of clinical and have experience giving toileting, bathing, and hygiene care to patients in the hospital. I love interacting with people and helping those in need. It's a bright spot in my day to know that I'm making someone feel better. I have had the opportunity to be part of a medical team in Peru that gave care to approximately 5,000 patients in five days. My medical experience there has stretched me and inspired me to pursue a medical career and to meet the physical and emotional needs of others. I'm studying to become a nurse and would love a summer job that pertains to my medical career and experience. My experience also goes outside the hospital; I've helped my grandparents in the past who were ill and one who had cancer. I would love to have the experience of attending to those in need this summer.

I became a caregiver because I enjoy providing services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I've work MHMR and I work with Down syndrome patients for the 15 years, and direct care with private patients in their home for 3 years. I have been a caregiver for over 12 years and have extensive experience in caring for the elderly. I believe that the only way to treat our elders is with compassion, respect, dignity and like a family member. I enjoy what I do and I find it to be very self-fulfilling. Trustworthy, dedicated person who came from a large loving and united family where love, compassion and respect were always our main goal between family members. In high school, started vising retirement centers for the elderly and found very pleased to know that they felt comfortable under my care. I Helped every day after school on chores and activities they had in the afternoon. When studying my degree in Guadalajara Mex. worked with a family taking care of their mother, who was in need of my services since she had degenerative muscle problem. I would take her out to do different activities. Here in El Paso TX, I took care of my aunt, who had lost mobility in her legs, I was present every day in all the activities she had when she was already living in a senior community. . My personal achievement came when I took care of my brother, who became ill with cancer ( brain tumor, 4th level) at 38 years of age. It became my goal, to take care of him during the terrible moments of pain that he suffered until he passed away. A month latter I took care of my father, he suffered from depression and dementia, he was also diabetic. I administered his medications daily, and preformed the care he needed every day.

What makes me a great caregiver is have a caring compassionate heart for my fellow human being. Prompt to the need of others, especially those who cannot do for themselves. My personal goals are continuing to be the best I can be as a caregiver.

I Studied Nurse in my country and I am CNA in the USA, I like my job because I can give love and life quality to the people than need.

I am by nature kind and caring. When my father became ill with colon cancer I was his caregiver. I would pick up and administer his meds. Knowing I could bring comfort to him mentally and help in his physical needs made me feel better as a person. He had come to a point where he was wheel chair bound. I drove him to all Doctor appointments. I also manicured him by that I mean shave his face, cut his hair, and fingernails. Prepared lunch and served him, I did anything to make him feel good about himself. I stayed with him for many hours daily till my mom came home. I also took care of my mother-in-law and she lived with me and my husband for 2 years. She was 91 and had severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. Her care was different than my fathers. Nonetheless, her remaining years with us were eased, The care for her was serving her meals, help with bathing, walking with her, getting her into bed and out of bed. General all around every day living and care taking. Then there was my mom. I took care of her when she no longer could walk. She had had a triple by pass and severe emphysema. A few years later, she had a serious fall which led to a slow demise . I took care of her for 3 years. I enjoy knowing that I can help one in need.

I'm a people person and I love to put a smile on my clients face. I like to see other people happy. I took care of my mom for over 10 years. Seeing her smile makes my day. One of my personal achievement was I helped a personal client regain his ability to walk. He was in a wheelchair and I helped him become stronger and independent on his own ability.

What made me want to pursue caregiving was my passion to help people. I have always loved to bring joy and happiness to those around me I believe the best thing in this world is good people and if you can't find one then be one. I have devoted my life to the helping of others in need and will always bring nothing less than a smile to work. I love to brighten peoples days and I hope to bring a smile into your loved ones homes as well.

I have compassion for the elderly and I m deal with what they call empty nest n just like to provide for people I love I'm a good caretaker n companion to those in need.

I'm chosen by God and gifted by God, I treat people the way I want someone to treat my Grandmom who 92 yrs old and my mom if they every need help. I love to be around older people because of their widsom and so loving and need help in getting around. I always help my client to get back to what their normal doing. Get alone with others

I have over thirty years experience from hospitals to convalescent homes to private care. I worked through Jewish family services in the past as well. One of my past patients was the father to two Ivy league doctors sons that I cared for for over five years. My last patient passed away that I cared for for over nine years. I have medical experience with every type of patient. I am familiar with medical terminology and have a higher college degree. Every patient I worked for was pleased with the care I had given them. I am very reliable. I have a compassionate personality and feel for my patients dilemmas.
