Coming from a family where cancer is very dominant. I became a personal caregiver to many family members beginning at the age of 14. Seeing as how much more comfortable they were having family caring for them and being able to stay at home rather than place in a Nursing Home or assisted living facility unless it deamed necessary made me realize just how important it is to keep one suffering in comfortable surroundings and knowing they were receiving the best care possible made me realize there is no greater feeling than bringing comfort and as much joy as possible to anyone in those final days at the end of life. I care deeply for all people and it brings my heart joy in knowing they want me to be a part of their care. It is a very rewarding feeling.

I have always been an incredibly compassionate person. Care giving is something I am passionate about, and it shows with the impressions I have left with many families who's loved ones I have cared for. I am structured and responsible and can always be counted on to do what's expected of me. One thing that may set me apart is my creativity and the importance I place on encouraging hobbies (if possible) and trying to introduce new interests. I firmly believe these improve quality of life and love sharing these. A little about me personally...I'm a mother to 2 boys. I do volunteer face painting for children's charities as well as certain events for the city. I am an active member of the PTA and am on the board for little league. I grew up with a disabled sister, 14 years my senior. There were seasons when I provide assistance during her wheel chair bound years. My mother lived with me when she became disabled. Note, she was mentally fully functioning and was physically high functioning in the spectrum of being disabled. However, she definitely could not drive during her last few years. This was a season of 15 years. My mother was 35 years my senior. I enjoy mutual companionship with the older generation. With Regards, Tammy

When I was little boy,I got really sick.My Grandma took care of me.I promised her I would pay her back by taken care of People who need help.

I am an athlete and an artist by nature. I make people comfortable and I make people laugh. All the private clients I have worked with love the fact that I sing for them, I dance for them and i read stories to them. For others, I help them with light exercises. I am presently a Ph.D. student at Walden university completing my degree in human and social services so I can help more people get a much better life through improved daily life activities. I have been a caregiver for more than 9 years. at one time, I did full time and other instances, I did it part-time. I am kind by nature and love to help people. I have been told several times that I am a natural caregiver. My love for caring for others comes naturally. I was born out of a home of many children and my mother was sickly so I became an adult at 16 so I can take care of my siblings. I thought myself how to be kind to people and take care of those in need. I enjoy being able to help or assist someone who actually needs help. I always feel proud when I see people being grateful for my services but irrespective of whether they are grateful or not, I am grateful that I can be of help to those who need my services.

As early as the 4th grade I preferred to be around the elderly. Everyday after school and during the summer was spent with Grandma and papa. Grandma and I would talk and watch big valley, Then I would walk papa to the store since he could not see. From there I took classes for activity director and help jobs both private and in group homes. The elderly have so much to share and only want to be treated with kindness and dignity. I have also held a job as a back office nursing assistant. I love being around people, However the elderly hold a special place for me. I have done some hospice. and post operation care. It is important to make them comfortable.

I have always been passionate about helping others and making their lives better. I had a wellness center in Switzerland and helped people with life coaching there. I have been in Los Angeles since 2015 and I have been helping people with whatever needs they have. Sometimes people simply feel better not being alone, and I am happy to make them laugh and talk while feeling that someone cares to listen. I am very trustworthy and I caring. Also very professional. I like working with youth as well as elders, as long as I can make a difference in their life, I am happy to be of service.

Hi- My name is Patti. I am the mother of four beautiful children- 2 girls and 2 boys. My oldest is 34 and my baby is a senior in high school. I home-schooled my youngest two children until they started high school. I am very familiar with learning challenges and differences. One of my boys has dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and dyslexia. Throughout high school I worked as a CNA. This is where my love for caring for the elderly began. I was blessed to care for my own father after a car accident and then later when he had cancer which took him to Heaven. Since recently moving to Texas, I have cared for elderly people with dementia, cancer, and hospital rehab. In my free time I enjoy hiking, snorkeling, campfires, walks, movies, and board games. I feel creativity through art, music, and the great outdoors is an important part of daily living. I also believe in living each day God gives us to its fullest!

The thing that contribute to me being a great provider, is that when I'm caring for your loved one I insert the same love and compassion as if I was caring for my grandmother or someone else in my personal life. I have two grandmothers that both currently suffer from Dementia and watching them go through the different phases really helped me grow as a woman. I realized that I had more to offer. While I wasn't as available to assist with them to the capacity of care that they required because of various reason at that time it made me realize that I had a love of helping those who can't help themselves. I also provide personal care and transportation for individuals with special needs and I must say its the most rewarding work I've ever done! I enjoy helping those who can't help themselves due to circumstances that they had no control of. The thing that I most proud of is that I followed my gut and I gave up Corporate America and followed my dreams of helping others , and I couldn't be happier!

I pride myself on providing warm, understanding and patient care for our seniors. My passion stems from volunteering at a nursing home and seeing first hand the lack of empathy for our elders. I am 34 years of age, 6ft 4" in height and have been in the industry for more than 6 years. Have looked after numerous cases that require different types of need:- From Companionship to quadriplegic and/or bed ridden cases. I worked for a convalescent home that had 5 residents. In addition to this I have had numerous private clients that I provided a 1 to 1 care for at their home. I am First Aid and CPR certified. I am very easy to get along with and and a very clean worker. I cook and drive. I get along well with Male and Female clients the same. My hobbies are playing the piano, guitar and singing, and I currently sing and play guitar at my church on Sundays. I have a California Drivers License and I have my own car (with insurance). I am very kind and at the same time I am firm with the patient's/ client's health care needs i.e. PT, diet and medication. I also want to say that I come from the Islands of Fiji and it is inculcated and ingrained in our culture to look after our elders and provide care for them when they age. So this is nothing new to me. It is inherent and I have a heart for it. I Do not smoke or drink and have not abused any drug or alcohol. Other qualifications I have are IT certificates, and a bachelors degree in Economics and Public Admin and Business Management.

I am a mature man with many years of experience. First of all I took care of my father when he was suffering with cancer in those days and my mother with diabetes, high blood pressure and rheumatism etc. I have take care of elderly people at the mission home where we use to take care of children and seniors who are abandoned. I want to spend my last days of my life serving those who need encouragement and comfort. Companionship, confidence and cheerfulness are as important as the medicine itself When a person smiles back when you make them happy that is the greatest reward God gives to anyone who wants to help others.
